Caucus Updates!

Updated: Jan 26, 2022

Fellow Democrats, The Hastings Democratic Committee met this week to further discuss the January 23rd Caucus, and we have made the following adjustments to our plans for this event: 1. In anticipation of high turnout, we are expanding the voting phase to three hours (from two). Anyone who is standing in line at the community center at the end of this three-hour period will be allowed to vote. 2. Due to growing Covid safety concerns, we will limit in-person participation to the candidates, their nominators, and the district leaders and volunteers running the Caucus. If a candidate is sick on the day of the Caucus, we will make an accommodation for them to appear remotely. If one of their nominators is sick, we ask that they arrange for a back-up nominator to come instead. Please RSVP to hastingsdems10706@gmail.com to receive a link for the Zoom livestream for the caucus. Your replies in advance of January 23rd make our planning for this event much more manageable, and are greatly appreciated. Due to the quantity of emails we are receiving at this time, please do not expect a response when you send your request. We will be sending a link to the caucus a day before the event. Finally, see the information below for our candidate forum next Thursday, January 20th at 8pm. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your patience and your participation.

Onward,

Cassandra Sweet

Chair, Hastings-on-Hudson Democratic Committee Hastingsdems10706@gmail.com
