Dear Hastings Democrats,
Are you still shaken by the January 6 committee hearings? Smarting over the legislation you wish had made it through Albany last week, or trying to figure out the new legislative maps?
First, please know that you are not alone. There's a whole community here that shares your political hopes and fears.
And, second, we have an idea for finding a little relief:
Come swing by our annual* fundraiser on Saturday, June 11, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm!
Rub elbows, commiserate, and catch up with your fellow village Democrats, as well as some of our elected officals. Confirmed to join us so far are Congressman Jamaal Bowman, State Assemblymember Tom Abinanti, County Executive George Latimer, County Legislator and Assembly Candidate MaryJane Shimsky, Greenburgh Town Councilwoman Ellen Hendrickx,Hastings Mayor Nicola Armacost, Hastings Trustees Mary Lambert and Georgia Lopez, and Acting State Supreme Court Justice and Justice Candidate Veronica Hummel.
Children are welcome to join the fun. We will have live music, libations, and light fare. And, a few of our special guests have graciously agreed to share a song!
Donations can be made online via PayPal, or bring a check made out to "Hastings Democratic Committee." Our costs are modest, so every dollar will go a long way.
