Dear Hastings Democrats, Thank you all for the terrific turnout at our June 11th garden party! We reached our fundraising goal, but more importantly, we reconnected, we heard from our representatives about their visions and work for our community, and we enjoyed some incredible music. Now......it's time to make your plan to VOTE in New York's June primary! The full list of contested elections in Westchester County is here. There are three ways to vote in this election: early, on Primary Day, or absentee. To vote early, go to any of the 23 early voting polling locations in Westchester County through Sunday, June 26th. Our nearest location is Dobbs Ferry Village Hall. For all early voting locations and hours, click here. To vote on Election Day, Tuesday, June 28th, go to your designated local polling site between 6:AM and 9:PM. To find your designated site, click here. To vote by absentee ballot, completed applications must be brought to the Board of Elections office in White Plains by the voter or an agent. (The deadline for submitting applications by mail, fax, or online has passed.) Absentee ballots can then be returned by mail, delivered to the Board of Elections, or dropped off at any early voting or Primary Day polling site no later than June 28th. For the application and more information on absentee voting, click here. Pease be aware that—in a change from previous years—voters who obtain an absentee ballot but then decide to vote in person are no longer permitted to cast a ballot on a voting machine. Instead, those voters will be directed to complete an affidavit ballot at the polling site. The health of our party and our democracy depends on a vibrant primary season, where we debate ideas and policies that are meaningful to us, advocate and vote for our candidates, and then rally behind the winners for the general election. I hope you will participate! Onward, Cassandra Sweet Chair, Hastings Democratic Committee
